Nestled in the stunning Tuscan hillside between Umbria and Tuscany, flanked by the chestnut forest of Monte le Civitelle on one side and the hillside covered in oak and cypress trees on the other, ROMITO, once a "hermitage" and hermitage of Casa Arsiccia, where in 1412 Friar Grifo and his followers, and later Friar Charles of Burgundy, found their haven of peace and tranquility, opens onto a terrace overlooking the Valdichiana valley below with a splendid view of Montecchio Castle.

The Mazzini family still inhabits the old farmhouse and, with the cheerfulness and warmth of rural culture, offers hospitality with care and discretion, striving to satisfy every need, confident that those seeking a country vacation seek rest and connection with nature.

The countryside here is true countryside: the olive trees, vines, fruit trees, and vegetable garden are still cultivated by our family with the love of a bygone era. We produce our own wine and oil, of certified quality, according to ancient Tuscan traditions, traditions that follow nature's pace, rather than speed it up.
