The Castle of Montecchio Vesponi opens its doors every month thanks to the guided tours organized by the InCastro Association.
Dating back to the 10th century, the castle has preserved its ancient charm. Its 263-meter-long crenellated walls, still standing today, and the 30-meter-high tower make it a remarkable example of medieval military architecture. It is a timeless place where visitors can experience a truly magical and surreal atmosphere.
Beyond the surrounding walls and the small towers that punctuate them, several remarkable structures still survive inside, such as the 14th-century keep and the Judge’s House, or Palace of Justice, dating back to the previous century.
Guided tours are available by reservation only, at a cost of €10 for adults, €5 for children aged 6 to 10, and free for children under 5.
